We would like to take a moment to introduce our new parts manager, Luke Wilke. Many of you may have had a chance to meet Luke, either over the phone or in person, since he started at Euro Cycles back in February. (If you have not yet had a chance to meet Luke, you can find him in our YouTube product review of Sonomax EERs.) Luke comes to us with a rich history in the industry and knowledge of a variety of motorcycle manufacturers and merchandise brands. Before arriving at Euro Cycles, Luke worked at Barneys here in the Tampa area for eight years, earning his way from parts guy to accessories manager. He really likes the parts department because “it gives him so many opportunities to make people happy.” A track record of excellent customer service, longevity in his past position, and several glowing recommendations made Luke an excellent candidate for Euro Cycles.
Born and raised in the Pittsburg area (go Steelers!), Luke moved to Florida at the age of 22. At that time he had already been riding for 17 years! He began on dirt bikes at five years old, moving on to street bikes when he turned 16. Luke’s very first street bike was a 1986 Honda 500 Interceptor. He really enjoyed the riding in Pennsylvania – plenty of elevation changes, beautiful scenery, and nice temperatures for much of the year.
Luke’s current motorcycles include a DRZ 400 SM Motard and 125cc Yamaha Zuma Scooter. Would Luke rather be riding European? Of course! If he could choose any bike on our lot, it would be a new BMW S 1000 RR. Luke likes the S 1000 RR because it would be equally good on the road or on the track. It is really a bike that does everything well. Luke’s favorite thing about working at Euro Cycles is that the small store atmosphere allows him more in depth interaction with customers. He can really take the time to make sure that he is completely satisfying each and every person who walks through the door or calls up on the phone. Excellent customer service has always been our top priority at Euro Cycles and we think Luke fits in perfectly.
Luke currently lives in South Tampa with his girlfriend, Lauren, a tuxedo cat named “Pepe,” (as in Pepé Le Pew), and a miniature schnauzer called Scooter. He can be reached by calling 813-926-9937 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
